Short Bio

SANAA MSEMAJI is a writer, director, filmmaker, and social-justice advocate. An avid lover of the arts, she has a long background in theatre and a degree in Creative Writing and Cinema from San Francisco State University. She has managed to keep herself out of a corporate cubicle for nearly 20 years using her hyper developed organizational skills as a freelance organizer and organizational consultant. As an entrepreneur, she created MilagroGrande Films, a 501(c)(3) non-profit film company dedicated to making films on social-justice issues. In 2009, she created an after-school youth program, Hip-Hop2Hollywood  that teaches kids how to find their creative voice through film and social-justice . In addition to running two blogs, Fluffylicious and The Bitter Optimist, Sanaa is also working on a full-length screenplay, 2 short screenplays, and a novel. A proud California native, she speaks 1.5 languages, enjoys reading, traveling (19 countries and counting), Cuban coffee, mimosas, and scrabble . She currently resides in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
